// About Revenant

Everyone fixed the airframe. Nobody fixed the motor.

Defense drones got NDAA-compliant airframes, flight controllers, and cameras. The propulsion stack didn't keep pace. The motors and engines on most platforms don't meet the same sourcing standard the rest of the system already does. The propulsion system was the gap nobody closed.

And then we looked at the engines. The mini-jets powering target drones and cruise missiles. The heavy-fuel piston engines in ScanEagle and Shadow. The hybrid gensets in next-gen long-endurance UAS. Same supply chain. Same problem. So we built across the whole propulsion stack.

We started Revenant Autonomous to fix that.

// What Drives Us

Built Different. On Purpose.

Uncompromised Origin

We trace every magnet, every lamination, every bearing back to its source. If we can't prove where it came from, it doesn't go in our motors.

Mission Over Margin

Our motors are engineered for the operator, not the accountant. Reliability at altitude, torque in saltwater, survival on impact. That's what we optimize for.

Vertically American

Design, fabrication, winding, assembly, testing, and quality control all happen under one roof in Morganton, NC. No contract manufacturers. No offshore subassembly.

Blue Ridge Built

We're in Morganton because defense manufacturing belongs in American communities. The Blue Ridge Mountains are in our backyard.

One facility. One standard. Every motor designed, wound, assembled, tested, and shipped from the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

// Our Story

From Discovery to Factory Floor

2024

Follow the Magnets

Our founding team dug into the defense drone supply chain and kept hitting the same wall: the motors. Blue UAS platforms, tactical FPV, heavy lift. Didn't matter. The motor was the open question every program was working around, and nobody was building the answer. The deeper we audited, the more the same gap showed up in engine components: turbine blades, fuel system parts, ignition assemblies. The whole propulsion stack needed a domestic answer.

2025

Design the Propulsion

We brought together motor engineers, combustion specialists, and supply chain people and started designing the full propulsion stack: BLDC motors for UAV, UUV, UGV, and USV platforms, heavy-fuel piston engines, mini-jet turbines, and hybrid power systems. Every material sourced from allied countries. Every design decision driven by one question: can we trace this?

2026

Build the Factory

We set up in Morganton, North Carolina. Manufacturing facility is under construction. DFARS compliance program is targeting certification ahead of the January 2027 deadline. First motor lines are moving from design into production.

2026

Prove the Compliance

AS9100 certification in progress. NIST SP 800-171 controls being implemented for CUI handling. Building the compliance foundation so our customers don't have to worry about it.
